Srikakulam : Srikakulam is the head-quaraters of the District. It is located on the left bank of river Nagavali. Srikakulam was formerly known as “ Chicacole”. Being the head quaraters of the District this place is connected by road to all important places in the District. Train facilities are available from Amadalavalasa at a distance of 13 Kms. There is one famous mosque known as Jamia Masjid . Two important temples viz.
